The family of 5 has been coming to my back door everyday for the last 6 months. They eat dog kibble but LOVE their peanuts. They have grown considerable as they prepare for their first winter, and probably the last few months staying with their mother. They all have a names now and very distinct mannerisms and personalities. They are Last and his twin Call, Momma's Boy , The Growler , and my favourite, the smallest, Night Ranger. They come to eat once at dusk and usually just before sunrise...and sometimes they will scratch at the door in the middle of the night if they are hungry. The Kits are now coming on their own at times but their mother is still with them a large part of the time, usually for the first 10 to 12 months, then they will be on their own.
